Bhaumavati Amavasya

Bhaumavati Amavasya (also spelled Bhaumvati or Bhomavati Amavasya) is the no-moon (Amavasya) tithi falling on a Tuesday, ruled by Mangal (Mars). It is evaluated with the same Dharmasindhu aparahna-vyapti condition as Somavati Amavasya — the Tuesday-Amavasya yoga must prevail for at least one muhurta in relation to aparahna kala. This day is considered favorable for remedies related to Mangal dosha, pitru tarpan, and fasting.
