A total of 18+ out of 36 is generally considered workable, and 24+ is considered a strong match.

At 32.5/36, this is a strong Guna Milan score — full marks on Bhakoot (emotional/financial harmony) and near-full on Nadi (the factor most matchmakers refuse to compromise on).
This is where it gets interesting. Both charts were checked for Kuja Dosha (also called Manglik dosha) — an affliction that occurs when Mars sits in one of six specific houses (1, 2, 4, 7, 8, or 12) counted from the Ascendant. Both of them technically have Mars in one of these houses. But our calculator applies the classical cancellation (parihara) rules before deciding whether the dosha is actually active — and here the two charts diverge:

Alongside the North Indian Ashtakoota, our calculator also runs the traditional South Indian Dashakoota Porutham — 10 factors scored on a 35-point scale, with a required minimum of 18 points for an acceptable match, and two of the factors (Rajju and Vedha) acting as absolute structural vetoes that override the score entirely if afflicted.
Both structural veto Kootas — Rajju and Vedha — come back clear, so the 32/35 score stands on its own. Had either come back afflicted, the match would have been rejected outright regardless of how high the rest of the score ran.
Beyond Moon-sign compatibility, our calculator layers on six Ascendant (Lagna) based checks — house-distance rules, a cross-chart 7th-lord overlay, malefic load balancing, planetary lordship amity, and the Jaimini Upapada Lagna (a derived point used to judge marital longevity).
The one flag here is Shashtashtaka — Virat's Lagna (Sagittarius) falls 6 houses from Anushka's Lagna (Cancer), a classical 6/8 relationship associated with differing core vitality/temperament. Every other Lagna-based check — including the more advanced 7th-lord overlay and Upapada Lagna derivations — comes back clear or balanced.
These two yogas are checked on each person's own chart independently — no cross-chart comparison. Anushka's chart shows an active Papa Kartari Yoga on her 7th house (Saturn in the 6th, Rahu in the 8th, flanking it from both sides), a structural affliction worth being aware of on its own merits, separate from the couple-level compatibility score.
