Lakshmi Jayanti 2023

Lakshmi Jayanti commemorates Goddess Lakshmi's appearance, celebrated when the Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra prevails during Phalguna Masa (the lunar month, normal occurrence only), the lunar month that also carries Holi.

The date is decided by which day Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra prevails at least three muhurtas (roughly the first fifth of daylight) past sunrise; when it falls short, the observance may shift to the previous day if the nakshatra prevailed at least three muhurtas before that day's sunset.
